Today, you are going to learn some more about World War 2.
First, download and open the worksheet:
Second, go to the BBC World War 2 website. Please take a look around this interesting website to find the answers to the questions.
Today you are going to use Voki.
Voki is a cool website that lets you make a person. Then, you can give the person a voice! The person can talk for you.
Today you will do 3 things…
1) Write a personal introduction using MS Word (tell me where you are from, what you like to do, what you like about school, etc.)
2) Make a Voki character and record your voice (your message must be longer than 45 seconds)
3) Post your Voki character on your Blog – Also copy the message you wrote onto your blog.
This is my favorite superhero. His name is Green Lantern. As a kid, Green Lantern was always my favorite. He was a normal man and then aliens gave him special powers. He can fly, is strong, and can do many amazing things with his magic ring! Green Lantern’s real name was Hal Jordan. Hal was a normal man, but the Green Lantern was awesome. Green Lantern could do anything! I think that’s why I liked the Green Lantern. He was a normal man, but he could do amazing things when he used his ring. Maybe that is why we like super heroes so much… We are just normal people, but maybe we can do amazing things, too!
Another of my favorite superheroes was called Thor! There is a Thor movie coming out this year. Have a look at the trailer and tell me if you think this movie is cool or not.
Today, you are going to make your own super hero. After you make your superhero, you are going to write about him or her on your blog. I want you to write about 3 things:
1) Who he or she is… Where does she come from?
2) What can he or she do? What are his/her powers?
3) Is he/she good or evil?
At the end of class you will have finished:
- Putting your superhero’s picture on your blog
- Writing 150 words about your superhero
